Topics covered through the different sessions delivered by the University of Cape Town’s Graduate School of Business: - Sustainability in an emerging market context: Gaining insight into the meaning of sustainability in the South African and sub-Saharan African context; - Business leadership in emerging markets: What is asked of business leaders operating in an environment characterized by uncertainty and inequality - Base of the Pyramid (BoP) strategies and new business models: develop new business models, processes and products for low income markets; - Emerging market competencies for global competition. The program at the UCT Graduate School of Business helped analyze the business environment in South Africa and sub-Saharan Africa and adds an emerging market perspective on business sustainability and innovation to my leadership repertoire.
