Back End Engineer @ Thought Machine

Part of the Kernel team working on Vault (core banking platform for all sizes and scopes of bank). Responsible with maintaining and extending core elements of Vault as part of the Accounts team, as well as designing and implementing a major edge service. Chair of the internal group handling low and medium level decisions regarding uses of the Go programming language. Involved in improving internal tooling, with the goal of saving engineers as much time as possible during development. Started and led the company public speaking courses, with inspiration taken from Toastmasters structure, but with significant changes to better cater to the company environment and culture.
