on turn one (screenshot #1), I thought the game must have spawned one civ on an island (Hawaii?) thus technically qualifying it for that triumph
by turn five (#2) I had met two other civs
around turn 50 it became clear that the game had in fact spawned nine leaders in Eurasia–Africa (all homelands!), and the remaining leader presumably had the whole of the Americas to themselves (it turned out to be Teach)
