The #postmarketOSandAlpineLinuxConference2026 is now finished, so I can finally reveal my “evil” sideway plan for the conf: to get #alpine invited so Alpine devs would finally meet each other in person and get moving making decisions.
On hindsight and seeing how things turned out, it seems it wasn’t really an evil plan all along. All Alpine devs that showed up seemed super excited and happy that they got to meet each other. And also a lot more ready to make decisions. What a success!
Not to say the main goal: having a Nura/pmOS conf was an incredible success. Massive thanks to @aelin@donotsta.re and @ptrc@social.treehouse.systems
