I just rejected a paper that was submitted by
embedded.researcher@some-institution and
ml.researcher@same-institution.
There were names on the paper, but web search did not give any academic homepages. Paper was not on the arXiv. Abstract looked reasonable and on topic, but I gave it no further thought. Feels bad, but in all likelihood even the 3 minutes this took are a waste of time.
