Contrary to popular belief, the Lebesgue integral, with all its undeniable beauty, power and flexibility, did NOT make the Riemann integral obsolete at all. Its variant/partial generalization, the Riemann-Stieltjes integral, which integrates one univariate function against another, is of foundational and continued relevance in my research field of path signatures and rough paths.
Many nice memories of learning about Riemann’s contributions in Math during my studies. During my PhD the fondest memory involving a concept named after him is via the Riemann theta function, which parametrizes naturally not only abelian varieties but also discrete Gaussian distributions!
This article was the result of a dream of Bernd Sturmfels communicated to my coauthor Daniele Agostini and me; encouraging us to write a research paper to make his dream come true.

On the topic of Bernhard Riemann and #Riemann200 I have some more memories.
I worked for my PhD at the MPI-MiS in Leipzig in the group of Jürgen Jost.
Jürgen is an amazing mathematician who understands mathematics extremely broadly and on a deep conceptual level. It was always extremely inspiring to talk to him.
And Jürgen wrote several texts about Riemannian Geometry and Riemann, his time and his thoughts. I particularly recommend Jürgen’s extensive commentary on “Ueber die Hypothesen, welche der Geometrie zu Grunde liegen”.
Today is Bernhard Riemann’s 200th Birthday.
There is one famous picture of Riemann that can be seen in many places. If you have not done this, I challenge you to estimate how old Riemann is on this picture.
