Our unwillingness to change our lifestyle will be our demise. Cartoon for Dutch newspaper Trouw.

SustainableLifestyle environment shopping waste

A cartoon showing am affluent urban scene on the lower part of a hill, with modern buildings, a swimming pool, luxury cars in a garage, a 'Mega Market' store with shoppers, and green landscaping. In the background we see a highway full of cars and skyscrapers with billboards for Temu and Amazon. Meanwhile, a giant machine with industrial shovel is keeping a humongous pile of garbage from sliding down the hill, while a gauge is deep in the red. Underground, pipes dump brown sludge into a large tank that is filled up way above the indicated maximum level. The hillside itself is starting to crack, threatening the people living and shopping there.
