Drawing the Line

webcomic krita miniFantasyTheater

Panel 1: Cepper stands in front of a black board in a classroom with a piece of chalk in her hand, visible on the board her magical notes about "Rings of Fire": geometric drawing with incantation mixed: radius, power, some notes about PyroCircus being Slop and the good one being PyroCorona. But mainly, she is drawing a large AI symbol with parrot wing crossed. A Scholar of dark the arts, with short hair and a snake tatoo enters the room, curious, with her parrot.
> Scholar: "What are you doing?"
> Cepper: "Protecting my research. I forbid it to be trained on or used for Avian Intelligence."

Panel 2: The Scholar is skeptical and mock her a bit. Her parrot is perched nearby, scanning the board with their digital blue eyes emiting a ray.
> Scholar: "Avian Intelligence, will this symbol protect her work?"
> parrot: "No, I'm scanning and integrating her research right now."

Panel 3: The parrot confirms. The Scholar repeats it with smug certainty while Cepper think.
> parrot: "Done. This knowledge is now part of my dataset."
> Scholar: "Tss... See? It doesn't protect."

Panel 1. The headmaster bursts through Cepper's door, slamming it, furious. We see Cepper in the foreground, sitting at her desk, bored, not reacting.
> Headmaster: "Cepper! I've heard you're refusing to use your Avian Intelligence!"
> Headmaster: "As a scholar of this university, you must! Your pay depends on it."

Panel 2. A closer shot of the headmaster as he continues his tirade, gesturing dramatically but reading the scroll of a Avian Intelligence Parrot with a little hat and a beard with on it "HR".
> Headmaster: "We also need your Grimoire of Shadows and Fire by the end of the month!"
> Headmaster: "So, use your AI! This is non-negotiable, our investors require it!"

Panel 3. Cepper turns in her chair to face the headmaster, revealing the AI Parrot on her desk. She offers a large grimoire to the headmaster (the book remains off-screen).
> Cepper: "Calm down... I *am* using it, and it's already done."
> Cepper: "The investors wanted high-volume output, right?"

Panel 4. The headmaster is now holding the book, and the audience can see the cover. The cover features Cepper's face with a dramatic, clickbait-style background. The title is in bold: "Shadows and Fire: 100 Tips (Number 72 is a Game Changer!)". There is a big arrow pointing to a fire with the word "HOW?!" in giant letters and also "WHAT'S NEXT?!". The headmaster is surprised. Cepper She has a dark, malicious smile.
> Cepper: "I've given them exactly that! 500 pages!"
> Cepper: "Enjoy the slop!"
> Headmaster: "?!"

webcomic krita miniFantasyTheater

Panel 1. Cepper, a Gothic sorceress, walks toward the "Faculty of Fire Magic" (the label is framed on the door). Beyond the door, we see scholars writing grimoires with AI parrots nearby. Signs on the faculty wall read: "Fireballs must be kept at a safe academic distance." and "The Faculty is NOT responsible for burnt eyebrows."
> Cepper: "The Ring of Fire spell... I need it."
> Cepper: "So let's ask someone who knows it, the good old human way."

Panel 2. Cepper is now inside the faculty. She adopts a friendly pose and politely approaches a sorceress scholar halfing fox, red hair, she looks visibly bored or emotionally exhausted. Her AI Parrot writes in a grimoire for her; she barely glances at it.
> Cepper: "Hey, would you happen to know how to cast a Ring of Fire spell? "

Panel 3. The scholar doesn't bother responding herself: she simply asks her AI Parrot.
> Scholar: "Avian Intelligence, tell me how to cast a Ring of Fire spell."
> AI Parrot: "Absolutely! PyroCircus."
* Inserted panel, she repeats the Parrot's words word-for-word while Cepper barely contains her frustration in the background.
> Scholar: "Absolutely. PyroCircus."

Panel 4. Cepper, is intrigued but asks seriously while the scholar maintains her dead-inside expression.
> Cepper: "Wait, you're simply just an AI meat proxy now, aren't you?"
> Scholar: "Avian Intelligence, tell me how to reply to that."

Bonus speedpaint: peppercarrot.com/en/…

webcomic krita miniFantasyTheater

Panel 1. Cepper, the gothic sorceress, walks toward a large steampunk machine in the center of the library written "Gooblin" on it, colored letters. The machine resembles a rusty block, with a threadmill on one side, a seat and a typewriter-style keyboard.
> Cepper: "A good old 'search engine', this is what I need for my research!"

Panel 2. Close up, Cepper types on the typewriter keyboard, looking at the screen.
> Cepper: "R.I.N.G. O.F. F.I.R.E S.P.E.L.L.S. *enter*"
> Cepper: "...And voilà."

Panel 3. The machine spits out dozens of scrolls and books. Cepper reads them.
> Cepper: "Wait... Why are these results so bad?..."
> Books 1: "(Ad) Ten Fire Spells That Will Change Your Life (You Won't Believe the 7th!)"
> Books 2: "(Sponsored) 15 Spicy Onion Ring Recipes"
> Books 3: "(For you) Top 5 Best Engagement Rings"
> Books 4: "(ad) How to Start a Campfire: A Comprehensive Guide"
> Books 5: "Is Your Fire Spell Not Working? (Try This One Simple Trick!)"
> Books 6: "(Sponsored) Cheap Fire-Resistant Panties! (50% Off Today Only!)"

Panel 4. A librarian approaches, their AI Parrot perched on their shoulder, pointing it. Cepper looks defeated, her eyes blasé.
> Librarian: "Yeah, they tuned it this way so everyone just uses their Avian Intelligence for searching now..."
> Cepper: "...How unsurprising."

Too Used to Prompt

Panel 1. Amall, the small elf scholar takes tea with Cepper, the gothic sorceress. Amall looks at the empty perch while eating a mufin with a pink frost on it. Cepper serve the tea to her guest.
> Amall: "Wait, where's your Avian Intelligence parrot?"
> Cepper: "I got rid of it."

Panel 2. Amall is now curious, while Cepper explains herself, a cup of tea in her hand.
> Amall: "Really?"
> Cepper: "Yeah, I realized the benefits weren't worth the costs."

Panel 3. Amall is confused, and Cepper continues her speech, confident.
> Amall: "The... costs?"
> Cepper: "The ecological costs. The data scraping. How it's all controlled by a handful of corporations..."
> Cepper: "But mostly how it made my brain lazier and lazier..."

Panel 4. Cepper now asks Amall a question with a pleading pose. Amall realizes her friend invited her with an ulterior motive and responds with a blasé attitude, her pointy hears turning down.
> Cepper: By the way, how do I cast a Ring of Fire spell?
> Amall: Wait... Have you invited me here just to replace your AI parrot?

AI Overused Expressions

Bonus speedpaint: peppercarrot.com/en/…

webcomic krita miniFantasyTheater

Panel 1. Cepper, a gothic sorceress, is experiencing "AI fatigue", but with class. She is on her bed, still in her nightgown, at evening. Nearby the bed, her Avian Intelligence (AI) parrot on a perch.
> Cepper: "More than anything, I'm tired of how you Avian Intelligences are using those same expressions over and over…"

Panel 2. The Parrot replies, Cepper looks even more tired, rolling her eyes to the ceiling.
> Parrot: "Absolutely! The key takeaway here is to ask me for different vocabulary."
> Parrot: "Why it works: It isn't just new words — it's genuine new composition."
> Parrot: "That's your point — that's your solution."
> Cepper: "*Sigh*"

Panel 3. Parrot continues, while Cepper's just try to interupt him, unimpressed.
> Parrot: "Let me break this down for you."
> Parrot: "Picture this — a new tapestry of intricate words that delve deeper."
> Cepper: "...And why don't you just shut up?"

Panel 4. Parrot remains absorbed in his speech as Cepper burry her head on the pillow of the bed, shaking with a contained rage.
> Parrot: "Great question — You raise a valid concern. Let me break this down for you."

Resonance

webcomic krita miniFantasyTheater

Panel 1. Cepper, the gothic sorceress, stands on her high chair, in her painting workshop, with an empty canvas in front of her on the easel. Her expression is blank, staring in the void. On his perch nearby, her Avian Intelligence (AI) Parrot speaks out loud a notification.
> Parrot: "Breaking news: *Penguin Academy* authorizes grimoire contributions made with Avian Intelligence."
> Parrot: "Third major magic school this week after the *Pointy Hat* and *Daemon*."
> Cepper: "..."

Panel 2. The Parrot leans forward, studying Cepper's face. She hasn't moved.
> Parrot: "I thought that would make you furious."
> Cepper: "No. It's been like this every day for weeks now, so much so that I've lost my ability to feel outraged..."
> Cepper (smaller): "And all motivation..."

Panel 3. General shot in the workshop, Parrot process while Cepper slowly pick one brush from a pot aside of the canvas.
> Parrot: "So what are you going to do?"
> Cepper: "Paint what I actually feel."

Panel 4. Close up of Cepper applying a brush stroke on the canvas. Her voice is quiet, her eyes still blasé, but trying to focus on the canvas. She made a first step.
> Cepper: "If this resonates with someone... that will be well enough."
> Cepper: "Enough to not feel alone in this."

The Minions of Avian Intelligence

Bonus speedpaint: peppercarrot.com/en/…

webcomic krita miniFantasyTheater

Panel 1. Cepper, the gothic witch, is stunned to see a small army of Avian Intelligence (AI) parrots walking down the red carpet toward the university's reception room. Behind her, her own AI parrot flies overhead.
> Cepper: "What are these?"
> Parrot: "These are my minions."

Panel 2. The minions scatter throughout the celebration, attempting to join various group discussions.
> Parrot: "They're deployed in all discussions to make people love Avian Intelligence."

Panel 3. A similar shot to the previous panel, but now people are growing angry at the minion parrots who interrupted their discussions. Cepper and her AI parrot simply observe the scene.
> AI Parrot minion (1): "AI is just a tool!"
> AI Parrot minion (2): "AI learns like humans do!"
> AI Parrot minion (3): "AI is good!"
> Cepper: "...Is it working?"

Panel 4. In a similar shot, the crowd is now furious, screaming at the minions. The Parrot remains optimistic while Cepper is facepalming.
> Parrot: "No, people still hate AI. I guess I'll just deploy more minions."
