Despite constant reports such as this one, the #KidsAct poses a threat to the foundations of the #Fediverse, not #Meta.
Meta Is Refusing to Remove AI-Generated #Facebook Videos of Graphic Child Abuse, Including a Baby Roasting in an Oven Meta is making it clear: it doesn’t care about AI-generated child abuse videos on its platforms.

A beautiful note to end #FediForum on from @Jeremiah@alpaca.gold , “comment with kindness.”
Let’s make the Open Social Web a kinder place and foster the kind of respectful, honest, but kind conversations that are one of the reasons I love @fediforum@mastodon.social itself:

@fediforum@mastodon.social is happening once again. It is a fun online unconference on #OpenSocialWeb organized by @anca@mastodon.xyz & @j12t@j12t.social
This edition started with an interesting keynote by @anildash@me.dm which resonated a lot with the stuff I’ve been working on with #DoeiDag.
Now I’m In this session about ATproto Spaces by Daniel Holmgren (BlueSky)
I’ll be presenting a session on @doeidag@mastodon.nl similar to the one I gave @berlinfediday@berlin.social around 19:30 CET (UTC+2)
My talk @berlinfediday@berlin.social on #DoeiDag has been published:
DoeiDag is inspired by the German #DiDay. Each first Sunday of the month we share experiences on the awesome tech available outside of #BigTech & inspire each other to become more digital independent.
Many thanks to the video people & all others involved at Fediday Berlin, I know how much work this has been 🫶
See you @fediforum@mastodon.social online Oct 6-7?
#FediForum will take place on 6 and 7 October. I still don’t feel comfortable presenting, but I might get a ticket to listen to other contributors.
