We had a wonderful weekend in Berlin! 🦫
Our team joined the @nextcloud@mastodon.xyz Community Conference 2026 for two days of talks, conversations, and plenty of familiar faces from across the open-source community.
Thanks to everyone we crossed paths with. It’s always good to catch up, exchange ideas, share the latest document editing features and meet more people working across the open-source ecosystem.

Virtual Filesystem for Nextcloud Linux client is now available in beta! This is a huge step!
So you can see all the folders and files in your local file browser, but files are only really downloaded when you open them.
This is already possible on Windows and macOS, now finally coming to Linux.
It was said that when you unstall the latest release you can choose the VFS option, which is off by default, because it is currently in beta.
