My daily driver, no penguins harmed (well, one lives in Linuxlator 🐧):
- ThinkPad T480, i7-8550U, 32GB
- FreeBSD 15.1-RELEASE on ZFS (1TB, 18% full, zero regrets)
- XFCE 4.20
- fish 4.9.1 + Starship
- eza | atuin | nvim 0.12.6
- dotfiles via chezmoi
Bonus round:
- bhyve VMs on their own bridge
- pf guarding the gates
- YubiKey as OpenPGP card SSH agent
- LTE modem on umb0
- BT speaker via virtual_oss
- MX150 dGPU switched off for battery’s sake
It all just works. Yes, even suspend.
