π₯Our history, going up in flames! What is happening in the UK? Fires are destroying so many of our historical Victoria mills.
Dalton Mills in Keighley had yet another βmysteriousβ fire a few weeks ago. I explored this spot a few years ago, now all this history is lost.
For future generations, I worry how much will be left of our British industrial heritage.

π A glimpse into a bygone era and forgotten childhood memories. These trams were a popular part of Blackpool seaside holidays for generations of families.
After their retirement from service, they were stored awaiting restoration in a compound at Fleetwood Docks.
Sadly, most of them ended up scrapped or scavenged for parts when the heritage group disbanded.
Edendork Dance Hall was once a popular social venue during the Irish showband era between the 1960s and mid-1980s.
A grand blue dome hangs above the empty dance floor, and a lone microphone stands on the decaying stage.
Once a lively venue, it is now out of fashion and out of time. It has been demolished since my visit; now only photos remain.
This abandoned church lies tucked away on the fringes of a small English town. Standing on a small hill, making it a prominent landmark. The church was built in the 1880s and closed in the early 2010s.

Calcott Hall, also known as Red Dress Manor, in Wales. A long-abandoned house, abandoned since the 1970s when the last resident is thought to have passed away.
Ornate scalloped arches, inspired by mediaeval Georgian church architecture and Islamic-influenced stone carving. One of my favourite parts of this old minerβs sanatorium in Tskaltubo, Georgia.
πβ’οΈ This supermarket stands frozen in time following the 2011 Fukushima Daiichi nuclear disaster. Located within the exclusion zone, it was evacuated without warning and has remained untouched since.
π₯The Kings Hall Methodist Church, in Southall (London). Built in 1916, left abandoned in 2013, and lost to a devastating fire in 2026.
This place has now been erased, and only photos remain. I was lucky enough to explore inside in 2022; although decaying, this place was still so beautiful π©΅.

The ruins of Falcon Works, located in Hanley (Stoke-on-Trent, England).
Demolition work started on this Grade II Listed building last year. Soon after, work was halted while investigations were done due to concerns the historic kiln had been damaged.
