Industrial ruins, a delightful mixture of shapes and shadows. Some look like faces; some look like animals. What shapes and forms does your unique imagination see in these scenes?
The ruins of Falcon Works, located in Hanley (Stoke-on-Trent, England).
Demolition work started on this Grade II Listed building last year. Soon after, work was halted while investigations were done due to concerns the historic kiln had been damaged.

Decaying staircase in a long-abandoned villa that overlooks a picturesque lake. Somewhere in Italy, lost to time.
🆕🏛️ A few years ago, I explored the Old Royal High School in Edinburgh, Scotland. For 140 years it served as a grammar school. Later in the 1970s, it was re-fitted to become the future house of Scottish Parliament. The impressive building was never used and sat abandoned for decades.
Now, it is under renovation to become a music event space.

I was lucky enough to visit before work began and photograph it in its abandoned state. The climb in was very dangerous; I almost gave up but was so pleased I conquered my fears!
