A Gothic Crypt In The Forest of Scotland
This enchanting small building is surrounded by a small woodland. The chapel and crypt were built in the mid-1800s. Built out of local sandstone, the building is small but beautiful.
The heavy wooden double doors are studded, in addition to having decorative scrolls and Fleur Diβ Lis metalwork. Above the door is a pointed arch which would have once held stained glass.
πΈ Heather Bell. I stumbled upon this tiny abandoned house while out on a walk today. Should I come back tomorrow and explore inside?
Calcott Hall, also known as Red Dress Manor, in Wales. A long-abandoned house, abandoned since the 1970s when the last resident is thought to have passed away.
Ornate scalloped arches, inspired by mediaeval Georgian church architecture and Islamic-influenced stone carving. One of my favourite parts of this old minerβs sanatorium in Tskaltubo, Georgia.
π₯The Kings Hall Methodist Church, in Southall (London). Built in 1916, left abandoned in 2013, and lost to a devastating fire in 2026.
This place has now been erased, and only photos remain. I was lucky enough to explore inside in 2022; although decaying, this place was still so beautiful π©΅.
π° Chateau de la Poupeliere in Normanby, France. I took this photo of the chateau in its abandoned condition a few years ago. Another classic spot, now under renovation (perhaps completed by now!)

Kuroshio Inn. An abandoned hotel somewhere in Japan π―π΅
The once top-secret abandoned bomb facility hidden in an old slate mine. Step inside the subterranean labyrinth of Llanberis Bomb Store, Wales.
In the 1930s the slate quarry became a vast RAF munitions store.
In January 1942, the roof collapsed burying 14,000 tonnes of bombs (14% of Britainβs stock). It took until the 1970s to fully clear the site of bombs.
π’ Abandoned rollercoasters from around the world! Once excited, screams filled the air. Now they are rusting and silent.
Do you love rollercoasters, or are they not your idea of fun?
One of my favorite spots in Cape Town. Next time i need to pack a picnic lunch!

RIP Thomas the Tank Engine. A rusting abandoned steam train, left in a decaying depot. I wonder what the original paint colour was; now not a trace remains.
πποΈ Out of Office. BRB, AFK! I am off again on another adventure exploring lost places!
This week I am over in Ireland, hitting the road and wild camping in the forests. Catch you all when I get back, hope you have an amazing week. ππ
Beam me up! π These chairs in this grand hall definitely give off some serious Star Trek bridge vibes. Which USS Enterprise does it remind you of?
This self-portrait from a crazy adventure a few years ago. This space is now under renovation, which reminded me I should dig my photos out and share them.
Make sure to check back this Sunday when Iβll be sharing the full gallery!
