I am forced to use cloud based LLMs through the screen reader vibe coded/agentic coded apps made by blind people because developers have failed me ever since I’ve been alive—but I don’t know why other blind people don’t understand that every single time I criticize tech or even the LLM companies directly, I’m not criticizing you for using the LLM willingly. These companies will never know you defend them. These companies don’t need you on their defense team. They have venture capital. You do not. The fact I use tools and tech made by blind folks using cloud based LLMs also isn’t the gotcha you believe it is. at least I’m willing to acknowledge my imperfections and the fact I live under and inside techno fascism. The religious framing is boring too. It’s like someone that keeps doing the same combos in a fighting game. I know what’s going to come next. None of that diminishes my critiques of the companies and the LLM makers. Now you know I use your vibe coded/agentic coded software and still hate the LLM companies, how does that sit with your brain? Es gibt in #Leipzig tatsächlich den “Gen AI Hub” in der Gießerstraße 18 in #Plagwitz, da wird Unternehmen für jeden Quatsch der Einsatz dieser Technologie eingetrichtert und alles super smart, super smooth und super super.
Für die Werkstatt “KI rechtskonform einsetzen” (looool) kostet das Ticket auch nur schlappe 800€..

So I’m about a month out from not being able to make ends meet financially. I finally just got moved into my new place and am able to take interviews online and job hunt more seriously. I decided to try #Indeed as a hopefully less evil alternative to #LinkedIn. Never used any of these sites before, only the American Mathematical Society’s job board (mathjobs.org).
They want a resume right away. Fine, I submit my CV. I then get a bunch of “AI summary” of various parts of my CV, all pretty much totally wrong. Okay, at least I can decline each of the suggestions. But then I get to this, where I must affirm that the LLM was fucking accurate. I don’t know, man, I don’t know if I want to pay my rent bad enough to click that box.

Ich habe dann mal im Onlinebereich meiner lokalen Buchhandlung geschaut, da wird es ebenfalls angeboten. Ich habe das der Buchhandlung gemeldet und sie leiten meine Mail nun weiter an den Großhandel. Hoffentlich wird es dann aus dem Verkauf entfernt.
