My new report for Yale E360: Many scientific data sets are available online, but most of them are physically stored in only one place. In a time of increasing volatility through political interference, natural disasters, cyberattacks and war, the risk of losing precious information looms large. Scientists are responding with initiatives to store data in multiple locations. For U.S. #climate data, they are preparing to transfer vast troves to repositories in Germany. e360.yale.edu/features/…
