Planning #proxmox cluster
Keep everything inside three small boxes. No shared storage server, no NAS, nothing else that
could fall over while nobody is looking.*
*) Things that fall over always wait until nobody is looking. This is one of the fundamental laws of the universe.
#Proxmox VE HA Lab Cluster
In the beginning there was one server, and it was fine, right up until the moment it was not.
This document describes the design, build, hardening and day-to-day care of a three-node Proxmox VE cluster whose sole purpose in life is to be broken on purpose, so that high availability (HA) can be observed in its natural habitat.
I’m writing the documentation before starting to build it….
Thin LVM with shared block storage in #Proxmox? YES!
At our #Proxday, several people came in touch w/ me & said that LVM thin-provisioned with iSCSI, FC or NVMeoF would be a dream. Let me make it become real!
PS: My mate @formorer@rollenspiel.social is also working on something huge! Guess, we should make a special event about storage plugins for Proxmox VE - maybe within the next virtualization gathering at @credativde@mastodon.social or maybe as a special edition. Let’s see, stay tuned!
