Do search sponsors for the conference? If yes: What is the minimum amount?

Sorry to disagree with you there… but the Berlin office is definitely nicer!

Do you have a traditional office where everybody works or do you guys do remote work too?

It’s a very dynamic company! A ton of talented people, being hired and treated like adults, working on a very important mission.

I’ve been at companies where you have leadership try to micro-manage everything and everyone, and be paranoid at all stages.

In Helsing, for now, there is a ton of trust and everyone is given a lot of autonomy to deliver what needs delivering. It’s extremely refreshing, because it also means I can go on holiday and not worry that stuff won’t get done.

There’s also so many products we’re working on, each and every one of them super interesting and with its own challenges.

Is it difficult work? Yes.

Is it rewarding work? Yes.

Is it sometimes difficultly rewarding? Also yes.

Also the London office is better than the other offices and right now nobody can disagree with me.

Can you share (I don’t know if you are allowed to talk about this) a little bit about the company culture? How does it feel to work there?

Benachrichtigungen kann man je Endgerät dann entsprechend einschalten und bekommt dann auch den von normalen Apps gewohnten Message Counter.

Mir war initial auch nicht bewusst was für ein Rabbit Hole das Editieren von Posts ist. Am einfachsten ist es, es gar nicht erst zu erlauben. Aber das ist auch blöd. Ich vertippe mich selber viel zu oft dafür. Die jetzige Lösung ist der best mögliche Kompromiss.

Ich denke über das UI noch mal nach. Ich sehe Deinen Punkt. Möchte aber das UI auch nicht überfrachten.

Mal schauen. Manchmal habe ich über Nacht gute Ideen.

Ahhh! Du meinst die Funktionalität eigene Posts zu editieren?

DAS ist ein kompliziertes Thema. Ab wann man ein Posts nicht mehr ändern kann ist ein von mir definierter Zeitwert. Aber dieser Wert verringert sich, wenn andere Menschen mit dem Post interagieren. Warum?

Wenn Du initial in Deinen Post schreibst „Äpfel sind toll“ und jemand anders liked ihn oder re-posted ihn und Du Deinen Post dann aber in „Äpfel sind blöd“ abänderst, dann entsteht ein Problem. Das die Anbindung ans Fediverse noch mal vergrößert, weil ich keinen echten Einfluss auf andere Server habe.

Deshalb kann man manche Posts länger editieren als andere. Löschen geht aber immer.

Was meinst Du mit „Post-Edits nicht mehr“?

Offline-Fähigkeit auf jeden Fall nicht. Das ist in der Daten-Logik nicht vorgesehen. Der Rest (so weit ich das verstanden habe) schon. Aber da muss @jpawlowski mehr zu sagen.
