Sweden is also choosing @forgejo@floss.social for their digitally sovereign government codeplatform, just like the Dutch code.overheid.nl 🥳🥳

This is a nice step towards less dependence on US big tech, aka Github.

In my last days at the @BZKopensource@social.overheid.nl I hope to set up a working group with other EU governments, to work towards a federated network of codeplatforms 🇪🇺

I am reading the #KIDSAct and oh my is it bad. It is so dumb I have no words. And if adopted as proposed, it will have devastating effects for the #Fediverse and #FOSS app distribution. (Conveniently, the Commission exempted its own #Mastodon server from the Regulation’s scope.)

In particular, it will undo anything good the #DigitalMarketsAct might have achieved there. And it definitely contradicts much of the @EUCommission@ec.social-network.europa.eu’s own brand new open source strategy for more #DigitalSovereignty.
