Continuous Architecture: KI zwingt uns dazu, veraltete Dokumentation aufzuräumen | Developer
Im Interview beschreibt Murat Erder, wie KI Softwareentwicklung verändern kann, ohne die grundlegenden Prinzipien guter Architektur außer Kraft zu setzen.

With a fresh OpenBSD release just around the corner, this may be a good time to reprise my 2021 article “What every IT person needs to know about OpenBSD” nxdomain.no/~peter/… (also available in smaller chunks at apnic.net) #openbsd #security #networking #development #freesoftware #libresoftware
@baldur@toot.cafe talks about software builders: developers, interaction designers & others not doing okay. Due to the impact of AI & it’s side-effects. I’m afraid he is right.

One + side of the AI coin: empowerment & alleged efficiency / productivity. On the - side: dependence & skill atrophy.
Leaving aside: ecological, land, labour, copyright & energy issues.
I’m quite worried about the long term societal effects of AI in our capitalistic system.
When accessibility testing with screen readers, I love hearing them read Lorem Ipsum. I get a little chuckle every time.
I’ve never been a Digital Ocean customer. But they’re really taking a nose dive right now.
First, they offer healthy financial support for the fascist Linux project, otherwise known as Omarchy. Now they’re killing one of the best CSS resources around, @csstricks@mastodon.social.
How are they killing it? Well, they’re giving SO much money to fascism that they can no longer afford the small potatoes of a CSS community knowledge base.
As @eric@social.ericwbailey.website points out, so many of us front-end developers are indebted to CSS Tricks. The authors there have been invaluable to my own skillset.

It’s painful to see this kind of thing happening. I hate fascism and death by capitalism.
Finally on holiday that’s not at a beach. Which means I can spend a bit more time on Gathers.cards. And finally attempt to solve “how do I handle various foilings for various cards across multiple card games?”.
And… just maybe… also expand the plugin system to have a book collection as well. Gotta make sure I don’t get duplicates of a book.
